Emma + Ben
Let me start off by saying I will never ever get tired of shooting on the Oregon Coast! It is filled with so many hidden gems along the coastline, like this gorgeous little spot I scouted for Emma and Ben’s sunset beach elopement. Short Sands beach is a ten minute drive from the Cannon Beach main entrance, and is a brisk one mile walk through a gorgeous forest to get to the beach access. After a short ceremony, and running around with their puppy Tucker for sunset portraits, Emma and Ben headed up to their gorgeous sweetheart table designed and surrounded by the most beautiful floral instillation by Kindled Joy Events. While snuggled up in the woods they cut their cake together, and had an intimate first dance in Emma’s gorgeous A&BÉ lace wedding gown.
Tips for Eloping on the Oregon Coast
Eloping on a weekday (Monday through Thursday) is definitely the way to go! There is typically less people, leaving for a more intimate day between the two of you.
Elope either at sunrise or sunset! This will give you that gorgeous, soft lighting, so you won’t be squinting all day.
Keep a look at the tide tables! Most locations are more accessible at low tide.
Embrace whatever weather the Oregon Coast gives you! Late Spring through early Fall are the best months for sunny weather at the coast, oftentimes rain is a possibility, but can be equally as gorgeous, and really give you the full Oregon Coast experience 😉
Rent a local Air Bnb and stay awhile! A lot of times, my couples will rent an Air Bnb in town to take their getting ready photos in, or have dinner with their closest friends and family after their ceremony. Here are a few favorites I have found!
Considering eloping at the Oregon Coast? I would love to be considered to capture your love story! Please inquire here, I would love to chat and create a custom timeline that would fit your vision.
