Finding Tuscan Romance in the Pacific Northwest

While Oregon may not be the first location that comes to mind when you think of your dream Tuscan-inspired wedding, you might be surprised to know that this state boasts some stunning venues that exquisitely capture the true essence of Tuscany. From picturesque vineyards to grand chateaus, there are quite a few venue options to consider for couples seeking a romantic and timeless wedding setting that I love as an Oregon wedding photographer!

Maysara Winery

Located in the Willamette Valley, Maysara Winery is a family-owned estate that offers a stunning backdrop for a Tuscan-inspired wedding. The winery’s architecture is reminiscent of the old world, with its stone walls, red-tiled roofs, and arched windows. The surrounding vineyards, rolling hills, and forested areas create a serene and picturesque setting for a wedding ceremony. When you step foot onto this property, you might find yourself feeling like you’ve stepped back in time in the best way possible.

Villa Catalana Cellars

Villa Catalana Cellars is a family-owned vineyard and winery located in Oregon’s wine country, just 30 minutes from Portland. The venue features a beautiful Italian-inspired villa surrounded by acres of vineyards and gardens. You’ll find yourself feeling pure bliss with the addition of their peaceful, trickling fountains and abundance of greenery. Plus, the villa’s architecture is modeled after a 15th-century Tuscan farmhouse, with stone walls and terracotta floors, which gives it a truly authentic Italian feel. 

Chateau de Harpe

True to its name, Chateau de Harpe is a picturesque château located in the heart of the Willamette Valley. The venue is inspired by the classic chateaus of France’s Loire Valley, with its elegant architecture, manicured gardens, and surrounding vineyards. When you step inside, you’ll find that the chateau’s interior features a blend of French and Italian styles, with marble floors, chandeliers, and antique furnishings.

This spot even features a Great Hall, which is a grand space that can accommodate a large number of guests, and features high ceilings, crystal chandeliers, and a marble fireplace. If you’ve been dreaming of an elegant Italian event, this might be the perfect spot for you to tie the knot.

Black Walnut Inn & Vineyard

Last but certainly not least, Black Walnut Inn & Vineyard is a boutique hotel and vineyard located in the heart of Oregon’s wine country. The stunning venue features a beautiful Italian-inspired villa surrounded by vineyards, gardens, and orchards. The villa’s architecture is intentionally modeled after a 19th-century Tuscan farmhouse, with stone walls and a spacious courtyard.
